Prepare an emergency kit with water, food, medicine, flashlight, and batteries.

Never walk, swim, or drive through floodwaters.

Stay tuned to local alerts for evacuation or shelter instructions.

Wait for official word before returning home.
Wear protective gear when cleaning up.
Photograph damage for insurance claims.
Disinfect items that came into contact with floodwater.
