Description

Back by popular demand TJD Sports Academy will be returning this spring for Pickleball lessons and open play session.  America's fastest growing sport which is fast, fun, and exciting and is VERY popular in our adult community! Washington Township Recreation introduces “Adult Pickleball Lessons & Open Play” for the beginners and advanced beginners. This program will be instructed on Saturday mornings starting April 13 through May 11, 2024(rain date May 18th). 

Our“lessons” will consist on how to develop forehand, backhand, net play, serving skills, improve lobs and drop shots, position the court more effectively,improve game with a different strategy, and learn the basics of pickle ball for beginners.  “Open Play” is a great way to socialize and meet new people while having fun in a non-competitive environment.  Exercise, skills development, and growth are significant benefits of this activity.

The six-week sessions will be held from 9:30am – 10:45am; or 11am – 12:15pm; or12:30pm – 2pm at Rock Spring Park Tennis Courts, Long Valley NJ. A nonrefundable fee for this program is due before April 8, 2024.  Space is very limited, so register early.
