Well Water Test Kit Pickup April 22

The Washington Township Environmental Commission and Raritan Headwaters Association will hold a Well Water Testing Pick April 22nd at the Rock Spring park pavilion from 9am to 12pm.

*Water samples must be returned to Rock Spring Park on April 24th from 7:00am to 9:30am.

Basic Kit $70 - Basic kit includes tests for coliform bacteria, E.coli, and nitrate. Test every year. Arsenic $35 - Testing recommended every 3-5 years. Lead $30 - All homes built before 1987 should have drinking water tested for lead. Iron/Manganese $45 - May cause aesthetic issues such as rust stains or a metallic taste. Radon $55 - Radon in well water is a common issue. Test at least once. Gross Alpha $85- is a test for uranium and radium. PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoalkyl Substances) - $295 (other testing options are available)
