The building looms over the bustling Route 24, once called Chester Pike, just east of Long Valley center. At once, upon seeing it, you know that the mill holds a thousand stories and probably a thousand more secrets in its ancient timbers.

Memorial Day Holiday Closure for Municipal Offices

 

Washington Township Municipal Offices will close at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, and will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023. We will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

We encourage Township residents to participate in our annual Memorial Day Ceremony at noon on Saturday, May 27 at Rock Spring Park War Memorial Site, 35 East Springtown Road, Long Valley, when we salute our brave veterans and fallen heroes. Morris County Commissioner Director John Krickus will be the guest speaker, and nine veterans will be presented with the Morris County Distinguished Service Medal.
