REGISTRATION FORM: 2026 Osteoporosis Yoga
Washington Township Recreation is delighted to announce the return of its popular winter wellness series: Yoga for Osteoporosis. After a seasonal break, this transformative 10-week program is back to help you move with purpose, build strength, and support your bone health through the power of yoga.
Do you have Osteopenia or Osteoporosis? Did you know that practicing yoga can help strengthen bones and increase bone mineral density? This class is thoughtfully designed to support your journey toward stronger bones and greater confidence. Participants will be guided through dynamic, weight-bearing yoga postures that promote balance, coordination, and muscular strength—all while cultivating body awareness and better postural habits. The primary goals of the class include an accelerated increase in bone mineral density, improved alignment, enhanced balance, and fall prevention through mindful movement.
Classes will be held every Tuesday from January 6 through March 10, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Washington Township Community Center, located at 35 East Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ. All experience levels are welcome.
What to bring? Please come prepared with a yoga mat, block, strap, water bottle, and towel. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for yoga practice.
Registration is required by January 5, 2026, and a nonrefundable fee applies. A $25 late fee will be charged after the deadline, and no registrations will be accepted once the program begins.
