The holidays are a time for joy, celebration, and spending time with loved ones. Unfortunately, they also provide an opportunity for scammers and thieves to take advantage of unsuspecting victims. As we approach the festive season, Washington Township Recreation, in partnership with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, is offering a valuable free seminar to help you stay informed and protected.

Join Detective Ryan Thomas for an eye-opening session on identifying and avoiding scams that commonly target individuals during the holiday months. He will explain different types of scams, demonstrate how they are executed, and provide expert strategies to safeguard your finances and personal information before the season kicks into full swing.

Although the holiday rush may feel far off, preparation is key! This must-attend seminar takes place at the Washington Township Community Center on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM—giving you plenty of time to fortify your defenses ahead of the festive shopping season.
