TIPS FROM JCP&L

Exhaust from backup generators, both portable and stationary, contains a high level of carbon monoxide (CO) gas, which can be dangerous or even fatal if inhaled.

  • Read and follow the operator's manual closely before operating your generator.
  • Locate the generator outside of your home and far away from windows, doors and vents.NEVER LOCATE A GENERATOR INSIDE YOUR HOME.
  • Direct exhaust away from windows, doors and vents.
  • Do not operate a generator in partially enclosed spaces, even if using fans or opening doors and windows for ventilation.
  • Install CO detectors/alarms throughout your home to ensure you are aware of the presence of CO gas. You cannot see, smell or taste CO.

PotholeService requests for 200' Lists, property record cards, additions to the website calendar, reporting dumping, potholes, power outages, tall grass, zoning violation and unlicensed animals can now be made online. The link to the request form is available at the top of every page on the Washington Township website.

A Municipal Service Request is a form-based web request for service that is automatically sent to the appropriate department after it is submitted. A Service Request may include quality of life issues including loss of power, the discovery of a pothole, or suspected code violations.

The Municipal Service Request is NOT a search engine for information on the site nor for emergencies that require an immediate response. Please call 9-1-1 for emergencies. For inquiries that are not service requests please use the contact us button at the top of any page or visit the department pages on www.wtmorris.org
