Long Valley Helping Our Heroes is a public group on Facebook, designed to consolidate the local efforts of families and neighbors who want to support our essential workers during this challenging time of COVID-19. We are also happy to support those in our community that may need items to continue to keep safe.
Times like these it is important to support each other, not everyone knows how, or what is acceptable. Join the Facebook page to see what we are collecting, who we are delivering to and what items are still on our Amazon wish list in order to help those in need. There is an ongoing collection at 11 Dorset Rd, Long Valley, NJ which would include, but not limited to: PPE, Personal Care products (travel size), Individual drinks, Individually wrapped snacks, headbands with buttons, cleaning products/sanitizers, cards/letters/pictures for encouragement. All items are sorted and hand delivered to the appropriate destinations.

- PPE: masks, (N95, surgical, homemade), disposable gloves, face shields, disposable gowns, hair protection, shoe covering.
- Sanitizer, bleach wipes, lysol spray.
- Personal products: body cleansers, hand lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes/paste, chapstick, breathe right strips (helps prevent skin breakdown when wearing masks).
- Individual drinks: gatorade, water, ice tea, oj, cranberry juice, V8, cups
- Individually wrapped snacks: pretzels, chips, granola bars, nuts, mints candy, trial mix.
- Headbands with buttons, plastic mask holders, crocs.
- Cards, letters, pictures from families, children.
Long Valley Stronger Together
Long Valley Stronger Together was founded to offer assistance to frontliners, first responders, essential workers, food pantry and any one that may need during a difficult time like the one our country is facing at this time.
The items we are currently looking for are bottled water, Gatorade, grab and go snacks, girl scout cookies, juice, mints, socks, Crocs, masks, headbands with buttons, mask extenders, face shields, Chapstick, hand lotion,Cleaning products such as bleach, Clorox wipes, Lysol.

Kids 4 Kindness
Kids4Kindness Morris County 4H Club has been taking old lawn signs and repurposing them to make signs of thanks and spread cheer. Anyone can pick up an old campaign sign and redesign it. We thought that this would be a great way to say thank you and to keep spirits high.

Rotary Club of Chester and Long Valley
The Rotary Club of Chester and Long Valley is a service club whose members are active in business in the local community. The members are volunteers who work together with Rotary International locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto "Service Above Self." The business and professional leaders who make up the club take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives. Children's Enrichment Program
Founded by parents in 1979, The Children's Enrichment Program is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide recreational services, cultural experiences, emotional, and social support to children with special needs and their families. Our program provides relevant information to parents, caregivers and professionals throughout Washington Township and surrounding communities. Programs are held at various locations throughout the district. Financial assistance is available through scholarships to families in the Township who would not otherwise be able to participate. German Valley Rural Cemetery Association
The German Valley Rural Cemetery Association was incorporated in 1865 is a public cemetery located at 80 Coleman Road in Long Valley and available to the community at large. Garden Club of Long Valley
The Garden Club of Long Valley was organized in July of 1970, and is a member of The Garden Club of New Jersey and the National Council of State Garden Clubs. Many of the gardens around town are planted and maintained by the Garden Club. The Garden Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in members' homes or local establishments. Long Valley Trail Association (LVTA)
The Long Valley Trail Association (LVTA) is a community group of riders and horse owners whose primary goal is to establish a network of bridle trails throughout Washington Township. The LVTA works with public agencies, governmental groups and private land owners. The LVTA hosts several events throughout the year. They include:

Long Valley Woman's Club
The mission of the Long Valley Woman’s Club is to promote friendliness, to further the intellectual and cultural interests of its members, and to render social service to the Community.
The Long Valley Woman’s Club began as an informal gathering of friends in 1914. In 1930, the Club joined the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC). In 2019, with a long history of commitment to community service, members celebrated the 105th anniversary of the Club. From its early years until today, as the group organized and defined its purpose, members supported community needs and organizations. Currently, the Long Valley Woman’s Club supports local libraries, the Senior Center, fire departments, the Food Pantry, women’s shelters, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children), and homeless veterans through Operation Chillout. Scholarships are awarded each year to high school students. The Club raises funds through its annual Antiques in Long Valley that takes place every February, drawing attendees from a broad regional area.
The Long Valley Woman’s Club welcomes new members and, in addition to service opportunities, offers members enrichment activities including Literary, Drama, knitting and other interests that arise each Club year. Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA)
The Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1992 to protect and enhance the Musconetcong River and it's related resources. MWA members are part of a network of individuals, families and organizations that care about the Musconetcong River and its watershed.
The Musconetcong Watershed Association's primary mission is education and awareness. The Musconetcong River drains a 158 square mile watershed area within the New Jersey Highlands Region. For its entire length the Musconetcong River forms the boundary between Morris and Sussex Counties, and between Hunterdon and Warren Counties. The Musconetcong River begins at Lake Hopatcong - New Jersey's largest lake -- and flows 42 miles to the Delaware River at Rieglesville.
The MOMS Club is a support group all Moms who are interested in the community and desire a variety of activities for Moms and their children. The MOMS Club is for all moms providing support from pregnancy through college. The MOMS Club is the only non-profit international support group just for today's mother! A group that understands and supports your choice of mothering either stay-at-home or for the working mom and is a wonderful way for you to meet other moms and a fun way for your child to meet other children
The MOMS Club provides monthly meetings with speakers, discussions and fun programs, Casual get-togethers in parks and members' homes, outings for mothers and children, family parties throughout the year, playgroups for children of all ages.
