Two Ordinances Introduced
The following ordinances were introduced at The July 20 Township Committee meeting. There will be an opportunity for public comment and the ordinances will be considered for final passage at the August 17, 2020 Township Committee Meeting.
RO-08-20: ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A NEW AMBULANCE BY THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY, AND APPROPRIATING $247,500.00 THEREFOR FROM RESERVES FOR EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FUNDS OF THE TOWNSHIP
RO-09-20: ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3(a) OF BOND ORDINANCE NUMBERED RO-04-20 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY, FINALLY ADOPTED MAY 18, 2020 IN ORDER TO AMEND THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Ordinance RO-08-20 is a capital ordinance that is fully funded and does not authorize any borrowing. The reserves were funded and unspent in prior year budgets. Ordinance RO-09-20 amends a previously adopted ordinance to add two additional roads - due to higher grant awards and lower bids than originally anticipated for other roadwork - to those roads enumerated in the previously adopted ordinance.
