The Washington Township Recreation Department is holding a Senior September Fest on Friday, September 12 starting 11 AM at the Washington Township Senior Center.

This event will feature Oompah music provided by an ensemble from the Chatham Community Band.

Seniors are invited to attend and experience an open house with demonstrations of the various activities and groups who utilize the center each day of the week; Yoga (mat and chair), Mahjong, Scrabble, cards, Brain Boosters, billiards, Bocce and more occur on a weekly basis. You are welcome to come and meet the Golden Age Club members and the members of the American Veterans Association of Washington Township who hold their meetings there, as well.

Themed food will served including bratwurst, sauerkraut, German Style Potato Salad, Apple Strudel, Birch Beer and Root Beer.

Chester Meat Market will provide the bratwurst and the Mountain View Inn will cater the event.
