David Huson from Troop 236 Schooley's Mountain Black River District, Patriot's Path Council, completed his Eagle Scout project in September 2006 at Palmer Park.
The project included the landscaping around the flagpole at palmer Park. David additionally created a walking path from the parking lot to the flagpole with red crushed stone. A number of bushes, a spot light and plaque further accentuated the location.
The flagpole was previously erected by Troop 236 with the help of Assistant Scout Master Keith Applebaum, in the memory of B. Bruce Anderson, a past Troop 236 Scoutmaster.
