Under cloudy fall skies, Falcon Fields were formally dedicated
to the memory of on outstanding contributor to the community
and business leader, Bill Harrington on October 23, 2005.
Mayor Ken Short led a special meeting of the Washington Township
Committee in the Park.
A large turnout
of friends, family, community members, Municipal, County,
and State government leaders were in attendance to honor Mr.
Harrington. The Honorable Ken Short, Vice-Mayor Mr. Walt Cullen,
Committeeman Mr. Kevin Walsh Committeeman Ms. Kim Ball Kaiser
and John Harrington, Mr. Harrington's son, gave heartfelt
speeches extolling Mr. Harrington's generosity, community
dedication, and avoidance of the public spotlight.
Mr. Harrington's
wife accepted the proclamation presented by Mayor Short, and
the Harrington Family unveiled the burgundy, gold and blue
sign that will announce the entrance of Harrington Park.
