Please call the Municipal Registrar at 908.876.3650 for additional information regarding Application for Marriage, Remarriage, Civil Union, Reaffirmation of Civil Union Licenses, Birth Certificates, and Civil Unions and Death Certificates.

An appointment must be made to apply for a Marriage, Remarriage, Civil Union, Reaffirmation of Civil Union License. Failure to make an appointment may result in delay. Please contact the Township Registrar at 908.876.3650 to schedule an appointment to complete the paperwork.

The first page of the license application may be completed and printed before applying for a license at the Township Health Department. The second page must be completed by the prospective spouses and witness in front of the Registrar or Deputy Registrar and submitted along with a check for $28 made out to Washington Township at the Township Health Department.
