General Information

The Department of Public Works does not have a sanitation department. Residents must make arrangements for trash pick up with a private sanitation company.

The Please be advised that garbage and recycling containers, portable basketball hoops, and similar items must be kept off the roadways.

* It is also illegal to place leaves, grass clippings, snow or ice in the street. *

The Department of Public Works does not provide residential or commercial water or sewer service. Water and sewer utilities are provided by the Washington Township Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA). The MUA can be contacted at 908-876-3145

The CATV Advisory Committee receives, investigates and resolves complaints by residents of Washington Township against the CATV provider when the resident has not achieved satisfactory resolution of a complaint made directly to the CATV provider.

Information about the complaint process is available from the Township Clerk. The CATV Advisory Committee also coordinates the community's use of public access programming and monitors the CATV provider's compliance with the CATV franchise ordinance.
